I cannot stress enough how much Safelists CAN and DO build a business! Let's understand what a safelist is anyway....

A safelist is a list fully compliant with the Can-Spam act and is basically home business owners, affilate marketers and individuals selling something or offering something with their business and they've opted in to an "email advertising marketing list. They've joined as a member to this "list" or "safelist" and have the ability to mail out their html ad or plain text ad once per week for FREE to all the members (other home business owners) who have joined. IF they upgrade, depending on which plan they choose, they then have the ability to send their email blast out more often (once every three days, every other day or every 24 hours). Again, this depends on which membership they choose.

Some safelists are better than others because they "require" the members to read a certain amount of incoming emails BEFORE they are allowed to send out their ad. This ensures that everybody's ad is being read. There are also some safelists that are actual programs that get downloaded on your computer. Everytime an email ad goes out, a notice will come up on the members desktop notifying them of the new emails they need to open. This REALLY ensures that your ad will be read. I have listed some that I use and HIGHLY recommend.

Once you sign up for FREE or paid membership you automatically become an "affiliate" for them and you have a chance to make additional money by referring your link to your downline or others. They sign up and you get a % of their membership EVERY month!

Safelists can be a GREAT tool if used properly. One NEEDS to have a catchy subject line so that the chances of their email will be read. This is super important. You need to get creative.

I love safelists and use them each day. I made folders for each day of the week M-F and I joined 5-10 safelists for each day. I wake up and open up my folder for that day and post my ad to that safelist! I got my first affiliate signed up ONE day after using a safelist. I feel it's a MUST to use them AND I do know that MANY high income earners use them...in fact my enroller and his wife make over 15,000 per MONTH and they use them and THEIR enroller and HIS wife make over 15,000 and they use them too. So, now you know why I USE THEM :0)

Effective time management is something that many business professionals struggle with on a daily basis. This is no different for the work at home mother. In fact, it may be more difficult for a work at home mother then a business professional who works outside the home. Why? When working from home, mothers tend to get side tracked by the small things that need to be done around the house, running errands or making phone calls. However, with a little determination and effort, effective time management can be achieved by the work at home mother!

The most important thing you can do to make your day productive is to set daily work hours and stick to them. Working from home is not like a traditional 9-to-5 job because you are in control of your own schedule. While many consider this one of the benefits of working from home, it can also be your business’ downfall if you aren’t careful. It is so easy to get consumed with the small everyday chores around the house and put your business on the back burner, which will ultimately cost you money. In order to prevent this, you need to evaluate your daily routines and set your work hours accordingly. Then you must stick to them!

As a work at home mother, your schedule will constantly be changing due to school plays, sporting events, field trips and so on. The key is to make out a weekly or monthly work schedule that accounts for these things. Then you need to stick to the schedule. When you are making your schedule, you should also include break times as well. These scheduled breaks should be used for things such as checking e-mail, facebook and making phone calls. By allotting time for these activities, you will be much more focused during your scheduled work hours.

Once you have your work hours established for the week, you need to prioritize your daily tasks. You should start with the most important and end with the most trivial task. At night, you should review the to-do list for the next day making sure you haven’t forgotten anything. These to-do lists are like daily goal sheets and provide you with a list of all the things you want and need to get done during your scheduled work hours. They also make it much easier to say “no” when your child’s teacher asks you to volunteer for a field trip or a friend unexpectedly asks you to go to lunch.

Finally, you need to limit distractions during your work hours. This may mean you need to schedule your work hours when your children are napping, at school or in bed for the night. It may also be as simple as closing your office door and turning off your phones. Whatever it is that helps you stay focused, you need to do it. Making these changes will be hard at first, but your business will reap the benefits from it in time!

Wow!  Life is interesting..  I will be moving up to Northern NJ (Warren/Sussex co) sometime over the summer and the anxiety is setting in.  With so much to do and so little time it seems.  It's all about time management I guess BUT I do work better under pressure. 

Our first iMom Newsletter will be released by MOTHER's Day...yeah!  I'm so excited for this e-newsletter.  My passion is to promote moms in business.  So, now the pressure is on.  I can't wait until our subscriber list is in the THOUSANDS. It's on it's way.
